Sarana has been chosen as one of the winners in 2012 J&V Foundation Commission Award. She will write a new composition for cello & piano for Chinese Music Teachers Association of Northern California (CMTANC)‘s 2014 cello category competition.


Birmingham News rated Sarana’s faculty composition recital four out of five stars - Samford’s Sarana Chou excels in two compositional worlds.
